Courses
● Pollution and Marine Environment
An overview is primarily concerned with the principles and limitations of physical and chemical processes of pollution in marine environment. Topics include speciation of marine pollution, pollutants migration and transformation and the effects of marine pollution on environments, such as oil pollution, industrial wastewater and domestic effluents.
● Marine Investigation and Observation
An introduction to techniques and measurement strategies to characterize the state of ocean, and to gain a better mechanistic understanding required for predictive capability. Topics involve shipboard sampling procedures, CTD and related measurements, salinity determination, determination of dissolved oxygen, total inorganic carbon and so on.
